High Sierra 4×4 is going to build a buggy this year. We are starting from scratch (sort of). We have chosen the Goat Built 2 seater Buggy as the platform for our build. While not completely from scratch it is a buggy that we have to assemble, weld, and complete. That means coming up with a powertrain, suspension setup, doing all the plumbing, wiring, and final assembly before this beast will be wheeling any trails. We know this project is no small feat and we plan to discuss the build and provide updates all year long. We will do our best to capture videos and how to documentation as we go. That way our listeners will be better equipped to do the same when we are done. Wish us luck, we are probably going to need it!

Forrest Joined Jeff and Greg on the High Sierra 4×4 Podcast on episode 100 and has been around ever since. Forrest has a background in automotive mechanics. He is ase certified and has several years working in different shops. Forrest Wheels a 88 Suzuki Samurai but hasn’t always been into rock crawling. Forrest has more experience in motorcycles and quads and has recently gotten into the rock crawling world.
Jeff is the mechanical one of the two and he can just about fix anything after he takes it apart. He wheels a fool size rig on 40s with a 4 speed transfer case with some really low gears. Jeff likes to take the hard lines and see what he can do. He is not afraid to break something, because he does it all the time. Have a question, ask these guys what you need to know.

Greg can talk your ear off about anything off road from jeeps, toyotas, diesels, axles and even seat covers. He loves to wheel in any condition and when he is not out camping, backpacking, or spending time with his family he can be found on the trail testing his Jeep Wrangler Unlimited.
